Sound Files is a podcast about the preservation of recorded sounds and the people and organizations who preserve them. This podcast is presented by the National Recording Preservation Foundation, an independent nonprofit established by the Library of Congress with the mission to promote and ensure the preservation and public accessibility of recorded sounds. The NRPF fosters preservation and public awareness of recorded sound histories as held in public and nonprofit archives. In this spirit, the Sound Files podcast aims to raise awareness about the work of the NRPF and the people and organizations working to preserve the history of recorded sound.
